Kalief Browder, a young man from New York City who had gained national renown in recent years as a symbol of America's broken criminal justice system, took his own life this weekend, according to a report from The New Yorker. He was 22.
The Death Of Kalief Browder Is An American Tragedy Almost Beyond Words
Like we are living in some kind of Dickensian throwback. And they were not the good old days and we desperately need to live better than this. I'm sure, this all can be fixed with right sensible policy and legislation. Unfortunately, citizens' rights and legal protections mean nothing anymore in this country. America is a failed state in every way that meant anything to our founding fathers.
