It's Official in FL: 'Old Dixie Hwy' Becomes 'President Barack Obama Hwy'

If I were a conservative......I would refuse to drive on that highway

That will fix that Obama!
Any person concerned with their own safety won't drive on that road because it will become populated by the feral culture that populates MLK-named roads.
Do not know why more black voters aren't attracted by the RW.
BTW, RW, for me, stands for reality wing.

It can also stand for Religious Wacko, or Rotten Wanker.

we'll see how long they stay up. Glad I don't live in a such stupidity.. Usually a president had served and died before they were BESTOWED such nonsense. and you the taxpayer living there gets to pay for it if you wanted it OR NOT. now I go get sick

SNIP:

At that time, Mayor Thomas Master said the term "Old Dixie" still "invokes memories of racism and slavery in the Old South." Master asked his council members to "rise above any divisive thoughts about President Obama and get rid of the Old Dixie name." And that they did in a vote 4-1.

all of it here:

It's Official in FL: 'Old Dixie Hwy' Becomes 'President Barack Obama Hwy'
The only stupidity is the thread premise, it's perfectly appropriate to name a highway after a president; and it's partisan idiocy to oppose such a naming simply because of a president's political affiliation.

I spite of the Right's best efforts to prevent President Obama from accomplishing anything, he's been a very successful president, indeed.

yeah sure. homosexual marriage that did nothing for most of the population he Represented and a socialist health care take over with his stinking name attached to it that cost us billions and is now losing us billions. bombed the hell out of the middle east more than even Bush. so what was his accomplishments you claim he has?

oh wait, I found it for you.

Obama will leave the Democratic Party in its worst shape since the 1920s:itsok:
By Ashley Dobson | August 24, 2015

When President Obama was elected in 2008, Democrats were riding high.

Not only did he make history by becoming the first black president, he was also a new young face for their aging party and he helped usher in a wave of support across the country.

That didn’t last long. His legacy for the Democratic Party is abysmal.

When Obama leaves office, he is set to leave his party at the state and national level in the worst shape it has been in since 1929.

Politico recently took a deep-dive into Obama’s effect on these elections.

Personally I don't think anything should be named for living politicians.....

But I am no more concerned about this highway being named for President Obama than I am about the George Bush Turnpike.
