The only stupidity is the thread premise, it's perfectly appropriate to name a highway after a president; and it's partisan idiocy to oppose such a naming simply because of a president's political affiliation.

If the voters in Riveria Beach have an issue with changing the name then they will vote them out accordingly.

Personally I don't think anything should be named for living politicians.....

But I am no more concerned about this highway being named for President Obama than I am about the George Bush Turnpike.
