OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Israel is still holding 21 Canadian, Irish, and American solidarity activists who were taken by Israeli navy vessels along with their two boats into Asdod port for trying to sail into Gaza, Hebrew press said on Thursday.
Haaretz said that the activists, 14 Irish, 7 Canadians, and 2 Americans, refuse to sign pledges not to attempt to sail again to Gaza.
It quoted some of them in their prison as saying that they were adamant on their position that they were taken under the threat of arms from international waters to Asdod, describing the Israeli navy act as kidnapping.
The paper said that some of them refused to buy airplane tickets, and asked for their release and return to the boats they were boarding. The activists demand intervention by their countries ambassadors to solve their problem.
