CDZ Islamification of The West

No one is attacking Christians on this thread. Muslims are being attacked on the thread and some are pointing out they aren't all bad people that should be hated or feared.

Untrue, Christians were attacked. I did not claim they are all bad, nor said I hated or feared them.

No, he wasn't.

An Accurate Look at Timothy McVeigh's Beliefs

From a Time Magazine interview:

Time: Are you religious?

McVeigh: I was raised Catholic. I was confirmed Catholic (received the sacrament of confirmation). Through my military years, I sort of lost touch with the religion. I never really picked it up, however I do maintain core beliefs.

Time: Do you believe in God?

McVeigh: I do believe in a God, yes. But that's as far as I want to discuss. If I get too detailed on some things that are personal like that, it gives people an easier way [to] alienate themselves from me and that's all they are looking for now.

Anybody see a pattern? Even a hint?

Do you have any idea how many Christians committed violent crimes in those years? Tens of thousands just in the U.S.
The thread is NOT about what Christians are doing now is it? The thread is about what islam is doing. Now try and get on topic okay?
It's intellectually dishonest to blame an entire religion for committing these crimes, without considering that a similar proportion of people from other religions also is responsible for violence.
This IS the CDZ and part of having a CIVIL debate means staying ON TOPIC. YOU are attempting to de-rail the OPs topic by comparing an Apple to an Orange.

"Islamification" is a bugaboo of weak minds. It's a boogeyman to stoke jingoistic fears.

Why should anyone be upset that 5,000 Muslims had a march in London?

Could it be because their culture beheads women for being raped? Because they throw gay people off tall buildings? Because they see men raping male children as simple "play"? Because they blow themselves and others up on a regular basis? Because women are forced to cover themselves or face being stoned to death??

They have a right to have their culture in THEIR lands. That's between them and their God.

Our lands....and OUR culture...are ours. They aren't interested in assimilation. They want to change OUR culture to THEIR culture.

And THEIR culture is evil, violent and oppressive. Sorry....it just is. Our culture is simply better than theirs.

“It’s a bit like Christians celebrating Christmas, it’s about bringing the community together and hopefully getting young people to engage as well. We had a full programme in the mosque afterwards with international scholars.”

Imam Shahed Tameez said: “We celebrate because, after God, Muhammad is the most important in the Muslim faith. When he came he changed everything through the law of Sharia. He forbade killing and any form of terrorism or oppression, and gave equal rights to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.”

What's wrong with it, Lucy?
We have big Chinese New Year parades in New York, etc. We have Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick's Day parades, BIG Italian festivals.... If the Muslims are of the belief that "Muhammad forbade killing and any form of terrorism or oppression, and gave equal rights to Muslims and non-Muslims alike" what is to object to? We like celebrations in America; especially when they're like Christmas. Or Hannukah. Or Kwanza. The more the merrier.

Well the Chinese, the Italians and Jews don't tend to want to blow Infidels up in suicide attacks do they?

Can't you understand the difference?
No, they like the slow death road...

Sounds like a baptist retreat...

I fear fascism. It's ugly head is in the OP.
Do you fear theocracy?
Not if its Islamic.
Christian theocracy? I fear that. Any state sponsored religion.
Absolutely. Judge Roy Moore, all the attempts to declare Christianity to the be "official religion" of the US, school prayer? All these things are disgusting, and represent people, in positions of authority in the US, who do not understand the importance of the separation of church and state. It is a warning about how thin the veneer of civilization truly is, and how fragile. It is also a reminder of how important it is to maintain such cultural control. Islamic culture has been in regression for the last thousand years. Hopefully the Arab Spring indicates that the will to progress in these countries is growing stronger, but the AS also proved that it isn't strong enough, yet. The threat is nether as dire as the most fearful would make it, nor is is as non-existent as so many others try to make it out to be. Whether the Arab nations manage to rise to our level or we fall to theirs has not yet been decided.

“Why would any Western nation want to allow itself to be subjected to Islamification?”

This is a loaded question fallacy; it fails because any response to the ‘question’ compels the responder to agree with the false premise.

“Islamification of The West”

This is a straw man fallacy, where a lie is contrived in an effort to misrepresent the opponent’s position, and then attack the lie contrived (straw man) claiming ‘victory.’

In this case the lie is ‘Islamification’ of the West, where no such thing is occurring.

"THOUSANDS of Muslim men..”

This fails as a hasty generalization fallacy, the acts of the few are not ‘representative’ of the whole, nor is it ‘proof’ of ‘Islamification,’ in the West or anywhere else.

The premise of the thread fails as a consequence of these fallacies, where no ‘debate’ is warranted.
