Seems ISIS is intercepting and destroying his cartel's drug shipments in the Middle East. He may be hiding out from the authorities (some say right in the mountains of Sinaloa where he's from) but he isn't going to pull back over having lost of lot of $$$$$ to the Islamic thugs. So now, we're gonna have Mexican thugs going after Muslim thugs. Think governments will wise up and back away from the deal?

You [ISIS] are not soldiers,” Guzmán purportedly wrote. “You are nothing but lowly p**. Your god cannot save you from the true terror that my men will levy at you if you continue to impact my operation.”

'El Chapo's' mother's house raided in La Tuna, Mexico
June 17, 2016 -- Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman's hometown in Mexico was targeted by an armed group that raided the drug kingpin's mother's home and forced families to flee, local authorities said.
Mexican media outlets report about 150 heavily armed men stormed into Guzman's hometown of La Tuna and other nearby communities in Mexico's Sinaloa state on Saturday. The gunmen looted homes. Mexican news outlet Riodoce reported multiple people died during shootouts in the raid, though local officials did not confirm the reports of deaths. The house of Consuelo Loera, Guzman's mother, was sacked in the raid. Several vehicles were taken, and telephone and Internet services were cut. Vehicles and possessions were also stolen from nearby communities.

Riodice reported the attack was organized by members of the Beltran Leyva Organization and by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, who is known as "Chapito." The BLO was part of Guzman's Sinaloa cartel until 2008. "Chapito" is believed to have organized a criminal group called "Oficina" that consists of former members of cartels, including from the Zetas, the Gulf cartel and the BLO.

Meza Flores' criminal enterprise is considered the primary rival of Guzman's Sinaloa cartel in the state. "As a result of this rivalry, the Meza Flores [drug trafficking organization] has engaged in an extremely violent turf war with the Sinaloa Cartel which has resulted in the quadrupling of drug-war killings in the last four years and an increase in kidnappings and arson within the state of Sinaloa," the U.S. Department of Treasury said in a 2013 statement, adding that the group "has been responsible for the distribution of large quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and cocaine to the United States" since 2000.

State Gov. Mario Lopez Valdez, though, said there has been no confirmation the violence was prompted by a drug cartel war. He said it appeared to be a family conflict and denied reports of any shootings or deaths. Mexican newspaper Noroeste cited officials in the Badiraguato government, who said the raids prompted up to 350 families to flee the area.

Official: Son of 'El Chapo' has been kidnapped
Wed August 17, 2016 - Abduction took place at the trendy La Leche restaurant in Puerto Vallarta- The elder Guzman is in prison, fighting extradition to US
Shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday, seven armed men stormed into a trendy restaurant on the main drag of Mexican beach resort Puerto Vallarta.
They interrupted a group of revelers in the white-walled restaurant, separating the men from the women, and left with a high-value captive, according to Mexican authorities. Jesus Alfredo Guzman, the 29-year-old son of jailed Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, was among the six men kidnapped, Jalisco Attorney General Eduardo Almaguer said at a news conference Tuesday. The kidnapping is the latest blow to the elder Guzman's efforts from behind bars to maintain Sinaloa cartel's dominance in the region amid challenges from an emerging rival, the Jalisco New Generation cartel.

Jesus Alfredo and his brother Ivan Archivaldo Guzman are thought to be involved with the Sinaloa cartel, along with Guzman's son by another woman, Ovidio Guzmán Lopez. Though Almaguer did not attribute the kidnappings to New Generation, he said that a criminal group was responsible. Witness interviews, surveillance video and a search of five vehicles parked outside La Leche led to the identification of Jesus Alfredo and three other men, all with ties to organized crime, Almaguer said. The additional men men were identified as Juan Daniel Calva Tapia, 53, Josias Nahujali Rabago Borbolla, 35 and Víctor Galvan Ureña, 46. "At this moment, we have identified four of the kidnapped," Almaguer said, "one of them being Jesus Alfredo Guzman."

The Mexican army, marines, federal police, state police and the country's top prosecution office are searching for the missing men as well as those responsible, Almaguer said. No one has contacted Mexican authorities to report the men missing, and authorities have not heard from the kidnappers, Almaguer said. Jesus Alfredo is the youngest of El Chapo's two children from his first marriage. His older brother, Ivan Archivaldo Guzman, was imprisoned in Mexico in 2005, but released three years later for lack of evidence. Earlier Tuesday, Guzman family attorney Pablo Badillo said it was "very likely" that Ivan Archivaldo was abducted from the restaurant.

Badillo told CNN the Guzman family contacted him Tuesday afternoon and told him that "the possibility of Ivan Archivaldo having been abducted is very high." Almaguer had also said that Ivan Archivaldo was among those kidnapped, though he eventually backpedaled on the claim. Ivan Archivaldo's name did not come up at Tuesday night's news conference, and it was not immediately clear whether he was among those kidnapped. The elder Guzman is behind bars in a Juarez, Mexico, prison as his attorneys fight efforts to extradite him to the United States.

Mexico won't rule out second son of 'El Chapo' possibly kidnapped
Aug. 18, 2016 -- Mexican authorities said they haven't been able to identify one of six people kidnapped in Puerto Vallarta, and they can't rule out the possibility that person is a second son of drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzmán.
Authorities initially determined Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar, 29, one of Guzmán's children, was among several kidnapped early Monday from the upscale La Leche restaurant in the Pacific coast city. Jalisco State Attorney General Eduardo Almaguer told El Universal, though, that there is one person among the abductees who remains unidentified. Authorities have not ruled out it could be Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, Guzmán's 32-year-old son. Guzman is believed to have 18 children. Among evidence that indicates Iván Archivaldo, whose birthday was Monday, may have been present are witnesses who say "Las Mañanitas," a traditional Mexican birthday song, was sung inside the restaurant before the abduction carried out by several gunmen carrying high-caliber weaponry.

Jesús Alfredo also made a social media post on Sunday in which he indicated that he was with his brothers -- specifically Iván Archivaldo who "has been like a father to me," he wrote in the post. "Good little Sunday with my brothers. Now hopefully there were moments like this every day. Although things are ugly, not all the money in the world could pay like family. Family, brothers are ground gold," Jesús Alfredo wrote, translated from Spanish.

When asked if Iván Archivaldo was among the kidnapped, Almaguer said "he could not affirm." "Of the elements we have and images we reviewed and diligence carried out, so far we have no elements to confirm or presume the presence of this person," Almaguer said. Officials suspect the Jalisco New Generation cartel may be responsible for the kidnapping. A Mexican official told CNN that authorities are searching for the kidnapped men in the states of Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit and another that was not named.
