Why would any country want to be able to keep track of illegals?

Far better to let them continue to drive illegally and hide from the law.

Gray Davis, Democratic governor of California, gave tens of thousands of driver's licenses to illegal aliens when the people of California kicked his ass out of office on a recall petition vote. The issue that got him the boot wasn't even immigration; it was power-electricity. What was really humiliating for the democrats was that he lost to Arnold.
