Poll: Most Americans Say Don't Repeal Obamacare Without A Replacement
Poll: Only 1 in 4 want ObamaCare repealed
=========================
I'm seeing reports of 75% supporting and 25% repealing ACA / affordable health care act.
But the poll above is showing a nearly even SPLIT, that if you add together
the two REPEAL options together 28+20% (ie REPEAL with or without replacement)
that is still slight over the 47% reported as not wanting ACA repealed.
What I've said from the beginning, when CONGRESS first showed a similar 50/50
split (with the DEMOCRATS half being in support of and the REPUBLICANS opposed)
followed by the SUPREME COURT splitting 5/4:
Why not let the parties who SUPPORT federalized health care be in charge of
funding and running their own nationalized programs; and keep the parties OUT OF IT
who want to use free market means of managing such decisions OUTSIDE federal govt.
Why keep making this same mistake, over and over, of trying to take an issue that
is SPLIT 50/50 -- FAIRLY NEATLY BETWEEN PARTY LINES --
and IMPOSE one side OVER the other at the expense of BOTH sides equal freedom to CHOOSE.
What is WRONG with letting taxpayers CHOOSE which box to check
and which plan to be under? Two choices: either fund and be under and be responsible for
federal health care planning and management, or forfeit that and be under free market
choices and take responsibility for costs that way.
Isn't is CLEAR that people want THEIR WAY of managing this
and don't want to be restricted by people who want the OTHER WAY.
If people of different religions can all have their own way.
If people of different political leanings can choose to fund and vote in the party affiliations and
internalized process/structure of their choice.
WHY CAN'T THIS BE APPLIED TO HEALTH CARE.
Can't we AGREE to only authorize federal govt for those policies and parts WE AGREE ON.
Can't we AGREE that wherever we DO NOT AGREE, then we can separate that and delegate
that to states or people, and/or nonprofit exchanges that people CHOOSE to participate in.
And once we set up systems that work, can we address AFTERWARDS which of these we agree to fund collectively, and which we want to keep as free choice of individuals?
