what is the fee structure?
From what I know most take donations and encourage 10%, but like any other business, individual models within the Worship Industry vary, but the bottom line is the industry supports individual players who can afford some pretty nice property:
Besides... Because it's 'America', if we want to tax the Muslims, (and what red-blooded American Mutt isn't in favor of taxing those fuckers?) if we want to tax those fuckers we can't exactly not tax the Christians. Because it's 'America'... Damn, this is a TOUGH one.
Scandals and Criticism
- In 1986, The United Way of Cleveland, Ohio, held an event called Balloonfest '86, setting a world record by releasing one and a half million balloons. Unfortunately, the event had disastrous consequences, wreaking havoc at Burke Lakefront Airport, and Lake Erie, causing injury to animals and contributing to the deaths of two fishermen.
- William Aramony, CEO of the national organization for over 20 years, retired in 1992 amid allegations of fraud and financial mismanagement, for which he was subsequently convicted and sentenced to prison.
- Ralph Dickerson Jr., a former CEO of United Way of New York City, was found to have used United Way funds for personal expenses during 2002 and 2003. He later returned the money.
- Oral Suer, CEO of the Washington, D.C. chapter, was convicted of misuse of donations in 2004. Norman O. Taylor, Oral Suer's replacement, was never charged with misconduct but was forced to resign.
