As inflation continues to strip American of purchasing power, thereby lowering the overall standard of living, the White House continues the spin to convince the gullible that all is well.

When asked about yet another decline in real wages after adjusting for inflation, Press Secretary & Biden's spider-head wokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre says it shows his economic plan is working.

If real pay is going down, saying it is part of the plan might be the truth & completely accurate but they risk waking the hoople-heads that still believe what the govt/MSM/"experts" tell them.

Occasionally the DC, INC let's some truth slip out & then they have to scramble to gaslight the sheeple into believing what you think you heard is not what they meant when saying it.

Evil people tell you their intentions if you just pay attention.

The CPI is up 6.4% from a year ago.

“Rising prices meant a loss in real pay for workers. Average hourly earnings fell 0.2% for the month and were down 1.8% from a year ago, according to a separate BLS report that adjusts wages for inflation.” CNBC reported.

“While price increases had been abating in recent months, January’s data shows inflation is still a force in a U.S. economy in danger of slipping into recession this year.” CNBC said.

I suppose any discussion about the wage-price spiral would be futile.

The wage-price spiral is an economic term that describes the phenomenon of price increases as a result of higher wages. When workers receive a wage hike, they demand more goods and services and this, in turn, causes prices to rise. The wage increase effectively increases general business expenses that are passed on to the consumer as higher prices.

Toss in some supply line issues still plaguing us and those 500K jobs the dems were bragging-up is going to be a yoke around the neck of recovery.

I knew it would be futile. The numbers indicate there is no wage-price pressure on inflation, which is what the administration is trying to explain, albeit it rather poorly. The primary drivers of this inflation are supply chain bottlenecks that are quickly being eliminated, the War in Ukraine, and the pent up demand due to the Covid pandemic.

Here is the thing, the rate of inflation has declined for seven months now. That clearly indicates there is no wage-price spiral. It also indicates that the Biden administration's efforts that they were able to achieve, despite an oppositional opposing party, are having an effect. The monthly rate of inflation over the last month was half a percent, which translates to 6% per year. I believe two percent inflation, the FED's target, is unreasonable and not based on long term historical trends.

Nobody gives a flying fuck about "historical trends" when they are trying to put a roof over their heads and have to deal with home loan interest rates coupled with bonkers home prices.....My home was valued 150K more than it was three years ago when we got our reassessment a few weeks back.

I see no bubble bursting there either.....Builders in my AO are building to sell to speculators for rentals and anything that can be converted to apartments is being converted.....Everything is selling/renting.

The fact of the matter is you can't just pour four trillion into the economy in a few years and let several million illegals in around the same time and not expect any different.

"Historical trends" are completely out the window.....We are making our own economic "history" now and we will be lucky to survive it till a steadier hand is at the tiller.

All Really IS Well for THEM..
Any of THEM
Not so much for 'us'

It's just because Joe believes in equality. Since you can never make everybody equal at the top, you make them all equal at the bottom of the economic scale. Except for the politicians of course.
