iraq needs an international effort

    Maybe you forgot, spilly, the UN was there, right after the US-led coalition kicked out Saddam Hussein. A homicide bomber sent the UN delegation running.

    And if you didn't notice, we are attempting to reestablish self-rule (as opposed to UN rule) by the end of June.

    The UN did such a great job distrubiting moneis with the oil for food program maybe Spillmind in wants to be on the take for another UN program in Iraq.

    I think we should not hand Iraq over to the mostly worthless UN. What I think would be much better is a joint UN-US venture.

    All i have ot say about the UN being responsible for nation building is Sommalia.

    I know. That worked very well. Somalia also was another good one.
