Interesting facts

But Canadians and Australians have better teeth.

National Health Dentistry, controlling obesity by making it painful to eat!
Another interesting fact, well, mythbuster.

It's thought that the British have bad teeth, but they spend more on oral health than Americans. It's just that, teeth in the UK tend to be natural in colour, Americans like to go for the fake white. May be a vanity issue!!

Crickets alter the speed of their chirps in relation to the air temperature.

So if you count the number of chirps in 8 seconds and add 5, that will give you an accurate temperature in Celsius.

Most of the population in Australia is on the S. East coast near New Zealand.
Most of the rest of Australia is desert or "wasteland". Some tree populated areas, but those are near the coast.

Canadians have been leaving that country for many decades now, because their government is more corrupt than Russia, China, and America combined! The government there licks the rich assholes, and treats all other citizens like Hitler treated the Jews. Not only have the people been leaving, but the companies there as well.

Sad really. Such nice places to actually live, as far as geography and land is concerned. But the governments are so fucking corrupt, all those who can leave, do.

Many believe that two of each animal was taken onto the Ark. Actually, it was 7 pairs of every clean animal and 1 pair of every unclean animal.

Genesis Chapter 7

"The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

Have you ever wondered why it is called "red-breast" when its chest feathers are clearly orange?

The answer is because the nickname was bestowed upon it in medieval times, when there was no such color as 'orange.' Back then, it was considered a shade of red; it wasn't until the 16th century when people started referring to it as a separate color. The color actually took its name from the fruit, not the other way around.

This also explains why orange is not traditionally present in heraldry.
