    It was a wash. Britain stopped impressing Americans but not necessarily because of the war. By 1816 they were done fighting in Europe.

    You are aware that a British Warship attacked an American Warship in American waters while at peace? We had every reason to fight that war.

    We did. But I wish more of the history of that war was taught. It was almost the end of us as a nation.
