So am I! Our city is supposed to get between 1-3 inches beginning Christmas Eve and snow off and on Christmas day. I'm invited out but I really don't want to go anywhere so I'm hoping the snow will be a deterrent and I can stay home. Please pray that I can. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Chances are looking better down here in the deep South. I've had one in my entire lifetime (and I'm 48). I was working in Indianapolis, and couldn't get home for Christmas (Alabama). So I packed up the gear, and a bottle of Old Forester, and headed for Grayling, Michigan and the Au Sable. Cold, a shitload of snow and ice, 3 flasks of the Forester, and a buttload of trout.
Just me, the fish, the river, and God.
I missed my family dearly, but it may very well have been the greatest Christmas I ever had.
Edited to add (It was either that one, or the one where I got the GI Joe headquarters from Santa. Both will live vividly in my memory forever).
