and I'm broke...they don't call it Lost Wages for nothing. Had a grand time though. Went to a pajama party where they had hot hunks and had my picture taken with said hot hunks. Of course, I had to have at least three cosmos before I got up the nerve. Lost the best slippers contest. I wore the Monty Python Rabbit Slippers and Elvis won. :lol:

I wore a grandma nighty with a mop cap. My friend did the same. After the party, we all went down to the casino in our jammies. It was funny. A couple of young men passed by where another lady and I were playing and one of them said "What the f*&^". His friend came back to look at us and the look on his face was priceless "Hello ladies". :lol:

We saw the haunted vegas tour and I got a weird picture on my camera with three squiggly lines. That was fun.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Palazzo, with access to the vip lounge. The lounge was great, they had Butlers. Fresh fruit, coffee, tea, orange juice in the morning and the best lemonade I've had in a long time in the afternoon. They even had finger sandwiches, man you could live there. Our room had three tv's. One in the bathroom. The drapes were remote control. And our bed....man, I need a new mattress and I want that one. Our rooms were all free and we had a great time. Oh and I got my first limo ride ever to the airport compliments of the hotel. It sure pays to know people in high places. We're broke now, so it'll be awhile before we can go back.

So, did you all miss me? Did anyone miss me?

It's been quite a few years since we've been there. Is the Rio still the best buffet place in town?

I wouldn't know, we never made it to the Rio, but I was disappointed in the buffet at the Mirage and the one at the Luxor and my friend was disappointed in the one at the Tropicana. I just don't think they are as good as they used to be. The best place we ate on the strip was the Cafe Lux at the Venetian. I got the fish and chips and the fish was delicious and it came with coleslaw that was different from anything I'd ever eaten before, it even had peanuts in it. I wish I had the recipe for that coleslaw, it was great.

Downtown, I think it's called the Bay City Diner, was really good too.
 
One time I went to Las Vegas with a couple friends who wanted to get married. I went with them to get the proper marriage form at the local city office. One of the questions on the form was "How many times have you been married?" The choices were 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, more than 9. I laughed so hard.

I used to live in Vegas. If I ever see it again it'll be too soon. Lived in Reno too, which is better than Vegas as far as weather and things to do and see. Lived in Nevada for eight years, and they can have it.

Vegas is fun for someone who's never been there before though, and I'm glad you had fun. :)

Funny thing, my vacations are all memoried, (not a word, I know), by restaurants, historic sites, and museums. I'm such a dork!
