You are correct! They are Refugees not illegals. But to those haters with a cold, dark heart they can't even see the difference anymore. And the reason being that they are already dead, they just don't have the damn sense to shut up and lie down.

What makes the children refugees? If they are coming here to join family already here, that makes them immigrants by definition. If they were refugees, their parents or guardians would be with them as well, no?

Refugee children I have no problem with. Take them into American families and raise them with love. Teach them our language and how our government works so they may be informed, productive citizens upon their majority.

I doubt it happens like that, though, because they would likely grow up to be more conservative than progressive. If we keep them ignorant, poor and dependent, we get more D voters. I work with several (5) immigrant children. Parent conferences have to be held with the eldest child. I meet monthly with a 14 year old to be sure his 7 yr old sister gets the foundation she needs. He is such a man. Most of these immigrants are hard working, loving devout Catholics. I'd like to help them rather than exploit them and turn out self sufficient citizens who APPRECIATE a country in which they have a real voice. Much of our citizenry takes for granted the freedoms and voice we have, thus squander or destroy it. Personally, I think they could save us from ourselves. They would teach the next generation to cherish and protect our constitution, which is more than we are doing for our own.
