Great firearm...trained for years with it's parent rifle, the M16 (an actual assault rifle). When I ETS'd, I bought a M1911 clone and an AR15...the two weapons I was absolutely the most familiar with.

However, in a true survival situation I think that I still would take my AK-47 over either of them. I have more confidence in it. I have put thousands of rounds through it and never had a misfire except due to cheap ammo. Never has a FTE.

My two primary firearms of choice in a true disaster/apocalypse scenario: my AK-47 and my Glock 3d M17, both obviously with hi caps.

It's a .223, much deadlier than a .22 LR and it isn't designed to bring down planes, it's designed to kill human beings, which it does very effectively because of it's a tumbler round.
