And Sharia, and most of the continent of Africa and most of the Asian continent and and and. You anti religious zealots are just as bad as the religious ones. Just leave them alone and they'll leave you alone. This isn't the high middle ages anymore. Well it is in Islamic countries for the most part, but not here in the west, no matter how much you try and make people think otherwise.
And religious persecution doesn't even come close to the body count of atheist socialist countries. And those countries blew past all the religious murders, that took thousands of years to accomplish, in decades.
And was this immense body count the result of atheism or the dogmatic following of a political ideology?
A combination of both. The ideology drove them, the atheism removed the brakes that compassionate people exhibit.
Do you have any evidence whatsoever that shows that a person who doesn't believe in God is any less moral than a person who does believe in God, all things being equal? If you don't, then your assertion that atheism somehow removed the inhibition of compassionate people to commit atrocities has no basis in reality.
