If Ukraine Survives, It Won’t Be Thanks To Biden’s Sanctions

Biden’s sanctions will have had nothing to do with Putin’s demise. All credit will go to the sacrifices and strength of the Ukrainian people.

The Russian offensive against Ukraine unleashed by Russian President Vladimir Putin is now two days old. There are two big things to consider as the conflict grinds on: strategy and morale.
The first is the survival of Ukraine’s young president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy and his democratically-elected government are the focus of Putin’s war. The German military theorist Carl von Clausewitz wrote, “The talent of the strategist is to identify the decisive point and to concentrate everything on it, removing forces from secondary fronts and ignoring lesser objectives.” Zelenskyy is that decisive point.
For an opposing force, the contrary is often true. In Ukraine’s case, it is — that is, the survival of Ukraine’s government and the prevention of the installation of a quisling, a pro-Putin government in Kiev.

Ukraine now has Snake Island, with its 13 defenders telling a Russian warship to “go f— yourself” in reply to a demand to surrender. The Russians killed all 13 border guards.
The Ghost of Kiev as well — perhaps an urban legend, perhaps not — a Ukrainian MiG-29 pilot credited with downing six Russian aircraft — and racking up more than four million views on one video posted to Twitter on Friday.
And, of course, Zelenskyy himself, who, unlike the last feckless Afghan President, Ashraf Ghani, remains at his post — though a successful relocation to Lviv in Ukraine’s west to carry on the fight would be preferable to death or capture.
And then there’s the Biden administration and its response to Russia’s offensive against Ukraine.
During his press conference Thursday, President Joe Biden responded to a question by claiming, “No one expects the sanctions to prevent anything from happening…” Days earlier, Vice President Kamala Harris said sanctions would deter Putin.

War entails sacrifice. So far, the sacrifices are being shouldered by Russian conscripts and the Ukrainian people. The West? Not so much.
If Ukraine survives as an independent nation, Putin will fall, and Biden’s sanctions will have had nothing to do with his demise. The credit will be due to Ukrainian courage and Putin’s hubris.

Commentary:
Joe Biden true to Bob Gates statement, "Biden has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."
We can add a fifth decade to that statement, as shown by the decisions Biden has made in the last year and what he is allowing to happen in the Ukraine at this very moment.
Biden is not capable of logic and decision making. He is weak and those that handle him are also incompetent.
Contrary to Progressive Maoist/DSA Democrats and their Quisling Media, Biden is Putin's and Xi Jinping's most valuable asset.
There is, regretfully, no chance of Ukraine surviving this Russian onslaught.
There may be resistance, and ultimately a resurgence, but Putin has the power to invade and occupy the country.
Meanwhile Biden dithers and is more interested in Global Warming and the pick for the next Supreme Court Justice than helping the people of the Ukraine to fight Putin's aggression.
Today the Ukraine, tomorrow Taiwan.

The world was in a tough spot. It could still really backfire on Russia, especially if the Ukranian decide that they will fight to the end with the military support from the world. If this conflict extends, Russia will realize that they can't attack smaller nations without receiving a bloody nose.

This would not only deter Russia from considering further expansion, but also send a message to other powerful countries who wish to attempt the same that it will face serious consequences, or even political, military and/or economic suicide.

You mean Biden buying oil from Putin at 350% more than we paid a few months ago won’t stop Putin?

People are overthinking this thing. Ukraine will be just fine as long as NATO gets the hell out of their business. NATO is not there for the benefit of the Ukrainians. The only interest NATO has in Ukraine is the same interest that a John has in a prostitute.

NATO is not a member.
Ukraine is Europes bread basket of not just food, but raw materials such as uranium, titanium and iron ore.
That’s why Putin wants it.

Most of Europe is committing to sending weapons now.

There are statements about allowing the Ukraine into the EU.

Russia is been kicked out of the banking world.

They can't fly to Europe anymore.

The allies are allowing their citizens to fight in the Ukraine.

Germany just approved 100 billion to pump into the Bundeswehr.

The Russians are being sued for war crimes.

The Russian national Bank are upping their interest rate by more than a hundred percent to more than 20 to combat inflation.

Russia is trying to calm the populace to prevent a Bank run

The Rubble's bottom is falling out.

Seems to me that the consequences Russia is experiencing are severe and that China who has even more at stake in terms of trade losses wouldn't be encouraged by it.

You do realise that it is Ukraine who wants to join Nato right?

Biden's military aid is supporting neo nazi and white supremacist presence in Ukraine.
Profile: Who are Ukraine’s far-right Azov regiment?

So what is the Azov regiment?

Azov is a far-right all-volunteer infantry military unit whose members – estimated at 900 – are ultra-nationalists and accused of harbouring neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideology.
The unit was initially formed as a volunteer group in May 2014 out of the ultra-nationalist Patriot of Ukraine gang, and the neo-Nazi Social National Assembly (SNA) group. Both groups engaged in xenophobic and neo-Nazi ideals and physically assaulted migrants, the Roma community and people opposing their view

The unit was led by Andriy Biletsky, who served as the the leader of both the Patriot of Ukraine (founded in 2005) and the SNA (founded in 2008). The SNA is known to have carried out attacks on minority groups in Ukraine.

In 2010, Biletsky said Ukraine’s national purpose was to “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade … against Semite-led Untermenschen [inferior races]”.
The unit has denied it adheres to Nazi ideology as a whole, but Nazi symbols such as the swastika and SS regalia are rife on the uniforms and bodies of Azov members.
FUCK BIDEN AND FUCK UKRAINE

People everywhere are starting to pay attention to who wants what.
