No, one cult functions pretty much the same as another. They start out small and contained, then as they become emboldened with incremental inroads into whatever society they're keen on taking over, they become more and more aggressive, demanding their targets tolerate more and more extreme points of view (transgenderism, normalizing what they do). Then they just dispense with the nicities and start jailing people that disagree with them (Kim Davis). Eventually their bid for total control, if unchecked at this critical juncture, will win out and supplant the former culture with their own cult ideas.

Cults always burn themselves out in this way because unchecked insanity always does. But not until after they've destroyed everything in their path if allowed to run on long enough..
