If Israel "gave the land back" to the Palestinians, what would that look like? This idea is brought up frequently, but I don't think anyone has explained what they mean by it. Please be thorough and specific. For examples:

What would be the official languages? What would be the official holidays? Would any holidays be forbidden?

What would the government be? Would people of all ethnicities and religious be permitted to be involved in government?

Would there be any segregation of ethnicities, either through law or discrimination? Or any restriction of movement?

Would anyone be required to move?

How would the right of return of the Palestinians work? Would the Jewish people also have the right of return* and/or compensation? (*meaning the right to return from Arab nations they were exiled from)

What would the immigration laws look like?

What would govern family law? Civil? Religious courts? Which religions?

Who would be permitted to visit the Temple Mount and other holy sites? Would these sites be preserved and protected?

In other words, in what ways would Palestine be different from Israel?

Please also provide evidence that your answers are supported by Hamas, the PA or someone. Or, note that this is only what you would like to see and not necessarily representative of Hamas or PA goals.

give back land? Did they actually own the land, abandoned the land, failed to register the land, fail to pay taxes on the land, sell the land or just have fake deeds and old keys with no locks?

The American Indians also Failed to register the ownership of land, as they believed no one could own the land, as they can't, they may own a legal document, that gives them ownership of the document, not the land

Give away land in Israel, and Hamas will be parked next to the new border to fight Israel.
Giving Jerusalem to the Syrains would be akin to handing over Washington DC to ISIS. Who among you thinks that is a good idea?

Palestinian refugee camp was engineered by Egypt. Why is it that Egypt can't sliver a piece of Egyptian land to gift to Hamas? They have so much more of it than Israel.

So they would give the land of Jerusalem back to the palestinian Jews and kick out all the arab muslms who gave up ownership of the land when they lost the war in 1917.

The arab muslims have it in writting that no Jew born after the invention of zionism will be allowed to live in palestine, this is what freeman means by leave in peace.

The American Indians also Failed to register the ownership of land, as they believed no one could own the land, as they can't, they may own a legal document, that gives them ownership of the document, not the land

And the arab muslims gave up ownership of the lands they owned in the ottoman empire in 1917, and they were allocated lands back by the LoN. The poor arab muslims now calling themselves palestinians were not given any land that included any Jewish holy sites, so threw a fit and decided to attack the Jews and the British

Right. So, the question is really one of sovereignty over a territory.

Did you want to take a stab at answering the OP? What would Palestinian sovereignty over the territory look like?

From Ottoman thur today there are many types of land claims and ownership but it does not mean they automatically become part of any palestinian territory or state.

What purpose would be served for the Israelis to yet again return land for peace when that has failed to calm the neighboring Islamist states.

Israel has a demonstrated history of conceding land in exchange for peace with the retrograde moslem states it adjoins. The State of Israel has returned and withdrawn from captured territory greater than the size of Israel itself--Sinai, Egyptian land west of the Nile, land east of the Golan to the suburbs of Damascus, southern Lebanon, Gaza; and, while a tentative peace has been reached with Egypt and Jordan, we have the continued issue of Israel's broader relations with the more excitable of its muhammedan neighbors. These are, to put it mildly, less than satisfactory. With the grudging acceptance of the two nations noted previously, not one of the surrounding moslem states is currently willing to concede Israel's right to exist as a sovereign state without demanding concessions.

Conceding land to Islamic terrorists is a good idea, how?

Land for peace is hostage taking blackmail.

The Palestinians wont be happy until all the jews or all of themselves are all dead.

The Palestinians ancient home is Gaza.

They already own that.

That's all they deserve.

If they don't stop causing trouble then they should not be allowed into Israel to work.

THere is no itinerant Arab Muslim ancient home because there is no such thing as a palestinian.

Its a lie dreamed up by a fat Egyptian out of hatred for the native peoples of Judea

notice no Palestinian lover posted in this thread.

Of course there isn't. What are they going to say? That an Arab Muslim sovereign Palestine will mean ethnic cleansing of all the Jewish "settlers", that only Muslims will be able to pray at the Holy Places (if they remain standing), that no Jew will be permitted to run for government office, that segregation and discrimination will only worsen, that civil and family law will be under Sharia, that Arabic will be the only language permitted, that there will be no celebration of any non-Muslim holidays, that all Jewish holidays will be forbidden, that Jews will become dhimmis again?

Shusha, et al,

What "land" are you talking about? (Specifically)

• Are you talking about dissolving the entire State of Israel?

• Are you talking about the Occupied Territories since 1967?

If Israel "gave the land back" to the Palestinians, what would that look like?
(COMMENT)

I believe that the question is near impossible to answer under the framework you suggest.

The Israelis would never believe that a suitable arrangement could be negotiated.

Most Respectfully,
R
