Most Americans applaud such thinking (and actions). America has that competitive, "team spirit" where we like to pick a side, grab a bag of popcorn, and cheer for our team. We scream when our team is winning and boo when our team is losing. When the game is over we switch channels and find another game to watch. We're addicted to entertainment at whatever the cost.
