I guess I was an evil child (and I supposed adult) - I teased my cats and dogs all the time! ... no worries though, I don't own any now.

I don't think you should do this to an elderly cat! But people tease and prank each other all the time... but, to each his own!

Besides, cats have no problem scaring you!
I remember growing up my cat would hide behind the couch and jump out at me in the morning wrapping her paws/legs around my ankles and bite me..... bitch!

I'd catch her doing it to my brother or sister too, she's stand there wiggling her butt ready to pounce!
