Huntsman would be the best choice for the GOP. Its not even really that close. Outstanding Governor of Utah, ambassador to China who is our chief ally/rival. Solid conservative credentials. Willing to work with the other side when he has to.

I think your disgust is better aimed not at the individuals who are vying for the nomination but where your party has strayed; last week the GOP controlled House passed an extension of the payroll tax holiday contingent upon this pipeline being approved. The President said that it would not become law.

Yet they passed it.

Now the Senate won't hear debate on the bill.

I, personally, think the rules need to be changed as to where if it passes one chamber, the other chamber is obliged to have a vote 90 days or sooner. What Harry Reid is doing is pure garbage and, as you know, if I am either one of the major political parties; I am a Democrat.

But getting back to your disgust...the GOP willingly sacrificed this payroll tax holiday to make a political point. I think your disgust is neatly placed on where your party is in the American political spectrum. Your constituents are not the working class men and women; it has become the wealthy stock-market/trust fund crowd. Nothing signifies it more than this latest move by the GOP dominated House of Representatives. Nothing.
