With the recent discovery of Gobekli Tepi, it's indisputable that a prior, advanced human civilization was laid low during the Younger Dryas. By itself it speaks to a prior civilization that warned doom from the sky above. Then you add to it that the Egyptian Priest who told that the destruction happened 9,000 years prior, also dating back to the Younger Dryas.

With respect to the dating of the Sphinx and Great Pyramid, it's clear that these were already there when the Egyptians arrived. Since both the Sphinx and Pyramids show water erosion, they too predate the Younger Dryas. The question is: did the builder of the Pyramids intentionally make a construct they KNEW would survive the certain destruction?

Humans have been the same genetically for 200,000 plus years. The idea that we only developed technology a few thousand years ago is now demonstrable false. They was at least one prior, advanced civilization. I suspect there were others as well

Thoughts?

Some links would be nice.

People back in the day were too busy to write history down. We really don't know as much about the way back time as we think. They could have been quite brilliant for all we know, necessity being the mother of invention and all that.

I think they wrote it all down but it did not survive the planet wide cataclysm. Mile high tidal waves, super volcanoes, earthquakes

Looks like Sumeria was the source for the Egyptian flourish and presumably the long skulled visitors moved down there to become the Pharaohs and high priests .

BUT why did the Sumerians disappear and presumably shuffle on down to the Nile , but would not leave ( or were not allowed to,) before they covered up ( buried ) Gobekli Tepi ?
Many believe that the Great Flood around 10 000 BC was the prime cause but where is the flood evidence in/on GT?
If not the flood , why was GT abandoned ?

No doubt in my mind that there have been numerous previous civilizations, but likely none were as gullible and brainwashed as today.
The inhabitants of Gobekli Tepi apparently were .
They buried their amazing city and probably walked all the way down to the Nile for no reasons that we have yet figured .

Only a small portion of Gobekli has been examined. Curious as to what is tested to suggest when something was built?

Did the people themselves bury the city, or did other forces or entities?

No human being could create handbag technology.
The point it that these “handbags” are literally found all over the world EVERYWHERE humans made significant carvings, from MesoAmerica, Easter Island, the Middle East and now the oldest advanced civilization at Gobekli Tepi.

They’re NOT ordinary handbags

These are THE questions that need to be explored!

If this is true than perhaps things that were built to last had a chance to survive. In our civilization the older structures may survive and the newer ones which we replace regularly particularly in modern areas will disappear completely. Maybe that is what happened to them.

I think that’s why the Pyramids were built - to outlast the disaster that ended their civilization

The great flood was 2900 BC in the Euphrates River Basin.
