How can liberals really justify voting for Obama in 2012?

If you idiots don't put Ron Paul in in 2012 you are unquestionably FINISHED. He'll probably get offed by The Masters but he may have enough time to toss a few executive orders out before that happens.
No Patriot ACT(s)
No Fed.
No IRS
Very few foreign bases.

Reality. Like the original constitution demanded.
You won't. You're fucking idiots.
Palin / Steven Tyler / Ronald McDonald -- 2012.

It ought to be obvious to the observant student of the last 50 years of history that regardless of which party gains control, the trend of government is to become larger, more intrustive, more in debt, and more beholden to an elite whose primary concern is NOT the nation as a whole, but rather their own personal interests.

Now unless you happen to be a partisan who benefits directly from whatever party you support, your continued faith in your party is rather silly.

We are on the road to serfdom, folks, and both parties are instrumental in the direction this nation is headed.

FWIW the direction we are headed is the same direction every Empire takes sooner or later.

It is, I think, the nature of organized societies to go from relative freedom to oppression, and then for that opppressive society to fail to sipport enough of its people, and then because of that failing, for that society to fall.

Mankind will, within this century, evolve a world government. It will probably continue to operate with nations, but the actualy control over most of mankinds activity will be in the hands of an elite who are not nationalists but instead will have an internationalist (and one that is extremely CLASSIST) POV.

A man of education and historical observation. Perhaps a fellow Raymond Kurzweil reader, as well. I agree with the majority of your post.

Anyone who gets a major party nomination these days is likely to be pretty dismal. The power brokers want someone they think they can control.

So, are we going to continue to fall for it? When will Democrats quit voting D, just 'cause their scared of the R - or vice versa? When will we start voting our conscience and stop giving the 'power brokers' what they want?

The only way brokers can interfere with elections is through voter fraud "Inwhich we witnessed in 2008 and again in 2010 with Murkowski winning in alaska and Reid winning in nevada". Other than fraud, the voter dictates who is elected. :eusa_whistle:

I guess you weren't around in 2004.
