Houston Police Kills Double-Amputee In Wheelchair

A Houston police officer who previously killed in a justified situation, killed a double-amputee in a wheelchair allegedly because he felt threatened by the one arm, one leg wheelchair-bound man - HPD officer shoots, kills wheelchair-bound man at group home for the mentally ill | abc13.com



The FBI has now joined this case to "help investigate" why the double-amputee with a ballpoint pen in hand was such a threat to the Houston police officers that the shooting officer decided killing the maimed was only recourse. (Sigh)

I am threatened by the smoke of cigarettes and tobacco and by the sight of escargot. Should I then kill smokers or kill persons in restaurant serving escargot? Felt threatened!

A law enforcement officer who cannot escape a wheelchair-bound or overpower a double-amputee probably has no business being in the police force. Felt threatened. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Lots of decent and humane Houstonians are furious over the unnecessary killing of a wheelchair-bound double amputee by Houston police. Interestingly however, most of the folks who protested days ago in front of Houston City Hall were Blacks (though the unfortunate victim in this sad case was Caucasian).
