Hopey Changey Not Working So Well

Unfortunately we're living in a bizarre "Community Organizer" world. But hey,the Recession's over and everything is just great. That's what they keep telling us anyway. Things are only going to get worse. The Socialists/Progressives are rapidly moving us towards Third World misery. Hopefully they're one & doners. Maybe then things can change and we can escape this dark malaise. I guess we'll see though. Make 2010 count.

Some people just can't tolerate The One being mocked, I suppose.

Oh, Obama's got plenty warts and most of us that are reality based thinkers have no problem pointing them out.

Its the substitution of sound bytes from real critical thinking that we're objecting to.

But people come to this place equipped to contribute only as much as their understanding can generate for them, so I guess it's probably pointless to mock them for clinging to meaningless catchphrases that can nothing more than express their discontent

They hopey changey Sarah Palin knock off is pretty silly.

She and you seem about 12 years old saying it.

they sound like imbeciles saying it.

but its their way of making sure no one can have intelligent discussions about what's right and what's wrong.

it's also being said by people who started spewing that type of silliness on election day 2008.

I'm tired of it, the tea partiers aren't doing that well. Her soundbite mentality is insulting and then we have some here using her words like she has ever said anything coherent in her life..

0-1.4 years in: Bad economy = Bush's fault
1.5+ years in: STILL a bad economy = just a natural cyclical occurrence, thats all.

More soundbites...trying to shift the blame...

Because you know, it only takes 15 months to try and claw back a $10 trillion deficit...:cuckoo:

We're still fighting back from the brink of another depression.

Thats the point nothing obama is or has done will help to stop it. What obama MUST DO is give the privae sector all the lead way it needs. He needs to step back and let the experts take care of the economy. Keep the Government out of it.

Businessess aren't hiring because we are cycling through an economic slowdown that makes for lower demand for the goods and services businesses produce, it's really that simple.

The heart break of economic illiteracy on parade. The reason demand is lower is because unemployment is high and people are scared. Obamanomics is killing off recovery of the small business private sector in favor of centralized planning which favors its cronies.

From Clusterstock, here's the percent of job losses from recessions post WWII:

One of these things is not like the others. It would behoove you to understand why.

It was meaningless catchphrases that got Obama elected -- but you just keep reality-based thinking :)lol:) that it's only the right that uses them.

Voters Still Trust GOP More on Most Key Issues
Friday, July 02, 2010 Email to a Friend ShareThisAdvertisement
Voters trust Republicans more than Democrats on nine out of 10 key issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports.

The latest national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows voters trust Republicans more by a 48% to 39% margin on the economy, an issue that has consistently been the most important among voters for several years.

Republicans have held the advantage on the economy since May of last year.

Democrats still hold a slight edge over the GOP on another top issue, government ethics and corruption. While 33% of voters trust Democrats more on these issues, 29% trust Republicans more. However, the plurality (38%) is not sure which party to trust more. Democrats have held modest leads on the issue for five months after the parties were tied in January.

Government ethics has twice edged out the economy in the past two years in terms of importance among voters.

However, a Rasmussen video report shows that 40% of voters see the Obama administration as being less ethical than past administrations.

More than 50% of voters nationwide trust the GOP more on the issues of national security, taxes and health care.

Boy, talk about selective research! From politifact I assume. The breakdown is as follows:

119 Promises Kept
37 Compromised
19 Broken
82 Stalled
245 In the Works
3 Unrated

But to read your post, you'd swear he broke 'em all! Whereas in retrospect, the man appears to be doing quite well in the "Promises" department. Don'tcha think?

Might the reason that we are still fighting back be that our leaders are clueless? The Big 0 got absolutely everything he wanted to stave off the disaster and yet it still came.

Did he ask for stuff that didn't work becuase he was stupid or inexperienced or because there just is no right answer?

How about we compare the economy after 9/11 to the economy after the Banking melt down. Then compare the recoveries. Then compare the mood of the public and the programs of the government.

Do you wonder what the effect of the upcoming increases in taxes for all Americans, well, the Americans who work or die or invest, across the board will be in January 2011? I can hardly wait to compare the withholding on my last check of 2010 and the first check of 2011.

listen s0n...........by your math perhaps the guy is a hero, and no, I dont think. But for those who dont boast the political IQ of a handball, broken promise # 515 isnt sitting real well with the non-k00ks in this country. In fact, all the others pale in comparison in the real world. And many of the "kept" promises were public policy changes loved only by the radical k00ks. He could stick a rod up their asses and still they would vote for him.

For people who have real responsiblities in life..........unlike many of the lefty k00ks on this forum............#515 matters. Republicans + Independents now see his overt attempts to expand the lower class on thier backs. He didnt campaign that way but thats the way he is governing. Folks dont forget that sh!t...........they never do come election time. They now know Obama obsesses on the hand-out society and his goal to make it a permanent voting bloc............and is doing it by spending THEIR money and the money of their children. No jobs = no Independent votes = fAiL. Thats just the way it is when you promise Disney and deliver Harlem.

I love this forum!!!!

skookerasbil, you look like a fool here.

Well, I just reread it and it still says he wasn't a speechwriter for him.

As far as the OP goes, whatever. Shouldn't have come as too much of a shock that a Dem President with a Dem congress wasn't going to be quite as friendly to corproate America's bottom line as the other party would have been.

Mort Zuckerman is , well, if you hold to that philosophy, a self hating jew, in any event he was a big supporter of the PA move back into gaza, he got a consortium together that bought up 60% of the Jewish greenhouse’s ( the price conservatively put at 20 million dollars) farms from the Israeli settlers, who had here to fore been there, and made a nice living feeding themselves and selling bumper crops, , he gave it, yes , gave it to the Palestinians who flooded back into Gaza, ( please feel free to google it ) ........and, wait for it………………………………

fuck- I said wait for it

Hamas and their adherents ……………they trashed them. The Palestinians would not handle/continence anything touched by Jew hands, so they torched it all.
