Asking Congress? Don’t see anything happening there. The Trump team needs to take action and forget Congress.
Certainly they should always remind the citizens how Congress has dropped the ball on these problems. But Congress has given up their authority on the matter as far as I am concerned. Trump needs to militarize the border.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has asked for immediate action from Congress to address a “dire situation” at the border, including new authority to immediately deport unaccompanied minors back to their home countries. “Now we face a system-wide meltdown,” Nielsen wrote in a letter obtained by ABC News. She also says she wants the legal authority to detain undocumented migrant families together, including young children, until their asylum claims are processed.
