Revisionist history. It's well known that the Nazis manufactured those "provocations".
Nonsense. Germany already had a big bag full of reasons. And if it´s alone the oppression of Germans under the Polish regime. There was no reason to create a false flag operation. The operation has not enough brisance to justify Poland´s liquidation, anyway.Revisionist history. It's well known that the Nazis manufactured those "provocations".
I was talking about Poland´s liquidation, not about the invasion.Does anyone else find ambiguity in Bleipriester's point here? Is it being said that the Poles did attack, but that did not justify Germany invading?
We know the Ribbentrop/Molotov agreement settled the matter between Stalin and Hitler, so the fate of Poland was a fait accompli.
Poland had a history of war with Russia and was not a particularly pacifist country. Their reasons for provoking Hitler would seem unclear, even somewhat suicidal.
What is the point here?
The various border violations and attacks of the Polish regime are well documented by German soldiers that were deployed at the border.
Here are some:
"August 24, 1939: Lufthansa plane, type Savoia D-APUP under Capt. Bohne was shot at from the Hela Peninsula by the Poles when it was 15 to 20 km away over the Baltic Sea.
August 24, 1939: Another Lufthansa plane, type Ju86 D-AMYO under Capt. Neumann was shot at when 5 to 6 km off the German coast.
August 25, 1939: Report of the State Police in Elbing East Prussia -- As a result of a fire set by insurgents from Poland, the forestry building Diedrichswalde in County Marienwerder was totally destroyed.
August 25/26, 1939: During the night a railway bridge on the German side of the border was totally destroyed by the encroaching Polish military.
August 30, 1939: State Police in Breslau reported that a German farmer working in his field was shot dead by Polish cavalrymen, and that a German plane flying over German soil was shot at by anti-aircraft guns on the Polish side.
This sounds to me like one of the Abwehr operations or a part of Operation Himmler.August 30, 1939: The German consul in Cracow was shot dead. The murderer was a Polish Jew."

Iran and the Houthis say, Iran doesn´t, anyway. How would a WWIII look like in your opinion? After Poland rejected the 16 Points Plan, the war was inevitable. In short, you come across sounding like you have been duped. Research a little more carefully.
good point, and world war III became inevitable when Iran---with the help of
Russia and Syria, began arming the Houthi pigs in Yemen
