Yes! Forget the past!

The past just provides interesting history on how we got to where we are now. But for all us living today, what matters is right now, the year 2017, and the future. Every single day that passes by is gone forever, no matter how you choose to record it.

Our time is the present time, not 10, 20, 50, or 100 years ago. And one hundred years from now, it will be their time, and everything we talk about now will be history to them.

Then we won't be hearing any progressives refer to how those Christians were so evil during the Crusades when we're talking about Islamic terrorism?

We're also not going having progressives refer to past abuses and how compensation is required when discussing how to correct the black issues of today?

What a stupid post: one based on arguing for ignorance.

Interesting that a post on the history forum recommends that we ignore history. Ignoring (or distorting) history has always been a cornerstone of the progressive political movement.

I agree that, since your post is now in the past, we should ignore it (and you).
