With such a massive job market, this is worth sharing with your friends and neighbors who might be looking for a job or improving the one they have.

Can You Deal With Conflict?

Your Previous Salary Doesn’t Matter

Strong “Soft Skills”

Soft skills are the “intangible traits related to character,” rather than a hard skill, like coding. They’re difficult to measure, but sometimes still come up in interviews. You know, like when you’re asked about your “greatest strength.” That’s not a throwaway question:

Résumé Red Flags

Do Not Say Any Of This [This is really important]

Well I know it's dependent on the type of job and etc. But how 'bout we start with someone who's actually willing to work.

We were not perfect parents but one of the best things we did for our kids was insist they get jobs when they had the privilege of driving. And not just babysitting or mowing lawns either, but jobs were they were required to file taxes. We did not tell them anything remarkable when they entered these jobs...or we didn't think so. We just told them from the minute they clocked in 'til the minute they clocked out, their time belonged to their employer. And that having a headache or a hangnail was no reason to call in sick.

This alone caused both of them to be the most dependable teen employees at their place of work, both of them. Standouts in their generation. Because they went to work, worked hard, made it a point to learn the job. Just that. Standouts.

So how about just start there, everyone. Don't go into an interview talking about you need this for your anxiety and that for your depression and a Safe Space for your sensory issues.

I'm just saying
