Is there some snide secret involved in the production of hemp? The bill specifies that industrial hemp would not interfere with the enforcement of marijuana laws.

You all know, of course, that the feds once urged farmers to grow hemp!!! :eusa_whistle:
Believe it or not, the government still grows hemp for seed just in case there is a war and we can't make synthetic rope so we can produce hemp rope. One such growing site is in Oradell NJ.

You could smoke that hemp all day long and not even get a buzz.

Yes they did. They had to make ropes so those schooners could make their sails high, so they passed a law where everybody had to grow an acre of hemp so the naval vessel idea would not go up in smoke.

/couldn't resist

:D

If you plant hemp near a pot grow, cross pollenation from the hemp actually lowers the potency of the pot.

Done that LOL.
In college, I'd sell 1 lb. bags for $50. They knew you couldn't get high, but it was cheap and they enjoyed the social interaction.

All the hoopla...

Hemp is going to make KY rich according to those pushing for it.
Sorry just do not see the big demand.
