Because the British invited them and there was already a Jewish population living there. Irrelevant question.
Not to mention that Madagascar and Uganda were already sovereign states.
Don't like that Israel exists? Go cry about it to your therapist.
"Because the British invited them and there was already a Jewish population living there."
What right did the British have to "invite" European colonists to evict the native population to make room for fellow Europeans?
As far as a Jewish population living there:
"Four-fifths of the whole population are Moslems. A small proportion of these are Bedouin Arabs; the remainder, although they speak Arabic and are termed Arabs, are largely of mixed race. Some 77,000 of the population are Christians, in large majority belonging to the Orthodox Church, and speaking Arabic. The minority are members of the Latin or of the Uniate Greek Catholic Church, or--a small number--are Protestants.
"The Jewish element of the population numbers 76,000. Almost all have entered Palestine during the last 40 years. Prior to 1850 there were in the country only a handful of Jews.

You got a problem with them inviting European Jews, take it up with the British.
But they did not invite them to evict or colonize anyone. That's simply your propaganda going off again. Remember, it was the ARABS who initially tried to evict the Jews, and then got a taste of their own medicine. They invited the Jews into non sovereign territory. Were there people living there already ? Yes, but not much at all.
Trust me, I don't like the way in which everything went down there. But the fact of the matter is, Israel exists, and they managed to ward off 5 armies combined with 'Palestinian' militias who surrounded and attacked the newly founded state.
Israel exists, whether or whether not you people like how she came to be.
Yeah right Toast. You haven't a clue.
"Successful Jewish Colonization Will Extend Beyond Palestine Frontier, Weizmann Tells Actions Committ"
"The contemplated trip to the United States of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, the continuation of his efforts while in America to extend the Jewish Agency through his negotiations with the Marshall group, the possibilities of extending Jewish colonization work outside of the present Palestine frontiers, including. Transjordania and certain parts of Syria, were the main features around which the deliberations centered."

Lets look at the facts Monti. I know you don't like doing this, but too bad:
Following the 6 day war, Israel captured the West Bank, The Sinai and the Golan Heights. Jordan renounced all claims to the West Bank. Israel immediately voted to return the Sinai and Golan back to Egypt and Syria respectively. But both countries instead signed the Khartoum resolution: No peace, no recognition and no negotiations with Israel. As you know, in 1979, Egypt finally agreed to sign a peace treaty with Israel in exchange for the Sinai.Syria still did not want to make peace with Israel.
As for the West Bank, Israel has made offers to the Palestinians to return virtually the entire territory to the Palestinians in exchange for peace, but they refused each time. ISrael also withdrew its forces and settlers from Gaza in 2005. Yes, they still control their air and water, but it's only to protect Israeli civilians. Without the naval and air blockade, Hamas would be getting more sophisticated weapons. No country in Israel's situation would allow that to happen.
So, taking all that into consideration, your 'colonization' claim is a load of propaganda baloney. Israel prefers to give land for peace. But the Palestinians keep digging themselves into a deeper and deeper and deeper hole.
Palestinian Mentality: When you're in a hole, keep digging !
