Orlando Padron is one of the best makers of fine cigars ever. His full bodied Series smokes and higher end 1926 and 1964 editions with Maduro wrappers are my favorite to smoke. The 1926 Maduro is my all time favorite, with its bursts of citrus.

This past weekend I did something I don't do much - smoke a milder blended stick with a Connecticut wrapper. My favorite, and honestly only one of a couple I have tried, is the Camacho Connecticut wrapped in an Equadorian Connecticut shade leaf. I enjoyed it so much that I searched put some more in order to vary my humidor contents. I ordered 11 of them from my place in Miami last week. Most notably I ordered the Padron Damaso and Montecristo's Connecticut.

Tonight I am sampling the Padron Damaso robusto. It is thus far superb. It has that EASY draw that I love from other Padron offerings. It is a mouthful of flavor from the first draw, very creamy with light notes of cedar. Very pleasant and relaxing. It is like eating ice cream!

The cedar is not becoming much more pronounced and is mixing with some pepper.
