Head of FAA charged with DWI after Fairfax stop - WTOP.com
WASHINGTON - The administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration has been been charged with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in the City of Fairfax Saturday night.
In a news release posted on the city's website, police say J. Randolph Babbit, 65, was driving on the wrong side of Old Lee Highway about 10:30 p.m. He was pulled over by a patrol car.
Babbit was released on his own recognizance after going before a local judge.
There was no crash involved and Babbit was alone in his car.
