Meaningful tax reform. The same % tax on all earnings as the working middle class pays on their paycheck. Any money going offshore get 50% taken out until taxes on that money is payed. The 6.2% that I pay on into SS goes right up to the top of the scale. Same for Medicare taxes.

Single Payer Universal Health Care system payed out of income taxes. Again, an established % going right to the top.

There, budget balanced, SS and Medicare assured, and the deficit would become a memory rather quickly.

So you're in favor of a Flat Tax. Who'da thought?

You understand of course that f you taxed high income earners at 100% of income--even 100% of wealth--you still couldn't pay the present deficit, much less an expansion like single payer. Right?

Why should they pay more? It's not like they get extra rights out of the deal.

We should be grateful that the billionaire who writes a 8 figure check on April 15 is carrying a lot of people who write no checks whatsoever instead of vilifying him.
