The Arab country treatment of their Palestinians is truly hard to forgive. How can the Arab countries so despise their own Palestinian Arab brothers? And then we have Israel to make peace offerings, build a security fence & grant the Palestinians their own land so they can remain in Israel for which Israel receives rocket missiles for a thank you. It's callled Palestinian Mentality.

But 350,000 Palestinians were expelled from Kuwait and other Gulf states in 1990 after the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) refused to back foreign intervention as a solution to Iraq’s occupation of Kuwait. Cainkar said that for many of these Palestinians, “this meant their only other option for survival was the U.S.”
(there is a reason they were made to leave Kuwait- and the PLO refused to back foreign intervention, which they probably were right )

Arab Americans have been subjected to much unwanted scrutiny since 9/11 turned “Islamic extremism” into a household term that fueled fear — the 2004 struggle over the Prayer Center in Orland Park is certainly evidence of that — and Palestinians carry with them a particularly painful history of struggle. (how true, will not get into 9-11 but a man In a cave was not to blame)

But Cainkar said that as a whole, America’s Arab population, including the entrepreneurial Palestinian community in Chicago’s Southwest suburbs, is thriving.
“Overall Arab income in the U.S. is higher than the median income of the U.S. as a whole,” Cainkar said. “Usually groups that face discrimination don’t do well in this country, but they're an exception to this pattern.”

This neatly puts to rest the myth that left to their own devices Palestinians are incapable of prospering and making decent lives for themselves. Pity they can't demonstrate this in their own country. That's what continual Zionist oppression brings, poverty and hatred towards the oppressor.

No it's what their own government leaders' continual oppression and exploitation brings. You really cannot see that?

Arab leaders have been abysmal. A population left to their own devices would likely topple them or restrict them to a constitutional role, as was done in England in 1215 with Magna Carta.

However, if King John at the time had been financed and armed by a 21st Century USA, in exchange for all the coal wealth of Britain, not only would Magna Carta have never come about, but the foundation of The Industrial Revolution would have been stripped away from England.

I agree. The damn Zionists in Israel have kept the Palestinians in bondage & oppression by making peace offerings to them, building a security fence & granting them their own land to keep them in Israel. Disgusting!

Funny how they just pick out the words they like but don't show the whole sentence. See for yourselves what was said.

With this, I rest my case.

Forget Poles

Now you're picking on the Polish people eh?

From article:

Chicagoans are fond of saying that there are more Poles here than anywhere outside of Poland. But ask about Palestinians and you may get a blank stare. As it turns out, there are likely more Palestinian immigrants living in the Chicagoland area than anywhere else in the U.S.

Perhaps they have thrived because they face less discrimination and have more opportunities here in America than they do in the Arab/Muslim World. I believe that is the thrust of the OP.

Thing is, they had no opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities anywhere in the Mideast - including the Gulf States - where language and cultural differences were minimal and had to come to America to escape the Arab/Muslim World's yoke or tyranny. The West Bankers, BTW, seem to be doing far better than those hapless Gazans who live under the yoke of Hamas.

Palestinian war mongering mentality and constant terrorism against Israel over the last 7 decades is why the Palestinians are in the situation they are in

And Lope didn't even 'get' my sarcastic joke . . . .
