So for Thanksgiving I've had my Mom request another white cake, her favorite. Sure Mom, no problem. So getting up extra early THIS morning I got it made by about 8am. Having time I made a batch of cookies too. Gonna be her, her new beau, me, my sister-in-law, my cousin and her twin kids. The girl's supposed to be a picky eater so figured cake or cookies, gotta like one of them right? 
Got those finished, a really great batch too. Had everything on platters covered in foil, ready to go. Calling Mom about what time I should come over she goes, "For what?" A shiver of fear shoots down my spine...Is today Thursday I think, checkm yup..."For dinner." That's NEXT Thursday.
Oh no...
Haven't done anything like that since grade school when I got up on a Saturday morning thinking it's Friday, got all ready for school then watched some tv, idly wondering why cartoons were on, then when Mom wasn't up went and waked her and she informed me no school on Saturday.
I'm getting old and befuddled.
