I used to love "Bring your Boss night" (mondays), "Nickel Beer nite" (tuesdays), "Bingo Beer nite" (wednsdays), 25 cent well drink nite (thursdays), Ladies nite (fridays), Wife night (Saturdays), and "get well" nite (sundays) ... it was hard attending all of them to support the club but I did my best....heh. Very very different times then.

Oh yeah...saw things start to change in 1974..In flight school we had a beer call every fri. afternoon @ 5. Someone somewhere bitched about promoting consumtion so Beer call was out...in name only though, we renamed it "saftey meeting" instead.:D

Yep...All in all, I think today's Army is much better for the changes....just my opinion, but we had waaay too many drunks running around when I was a youngster.

I remember when we could call cadence using sexually explicit verse, AND verse about alcohol.

    The GOOD Ol' days.

No question about that for me...two tours and a full blown alchy was one result.
