ok I d/l it and played it in my wmp and vlc, and they still crackle and pop.

I don't think the problem is on my end.

Wondering if you have a sound system issue. QT is just a media player, really shouldn't give you any more or less of a problem than winamp or WMP would.

No I definitely don't. I checked multiple other aspects on my machine and everything else is working fine.
