In a theory made irrelevant by ignoring technological advancement, but sure.
It was not just "technological advancements" that allow us to beat the predictions of Malthus.
It was also the "black gold" of fossil fuels.
When they are gone, all we will have is solar, wind, nuclear, hydro, geothermal, and bio fuel.
And the sooner we start switching to those for transportation, the longer our fertilizers will last.
