Service members who qualify and receive federal food assistance make up a small percentage of the overall active duty population – barely 2 percent of the force, according to the USDA. - another quote from dipwad's sources.

Well, Ms Fuck head........What does the rest of the article REALLY state..............Asshole......LOL

In July 2016, the Government Accountability Office concluded that the Department of Defense was not fully collecting or analyzing data on how many service members were in need of food assistance or enrolled in federal programs such as SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program(also known as food stamps), and WIC, the program for Women, Infants and Children.

At the same time, the GAO found troubling signs that some military families were in need. For example, nearly 1 in 4 children at DOD schools are eligible for free meals, a program that's based on income.

<waits for nat to find more current sources>

Wonder if the shutdown ends before nat finds better stuff?

You seem angry again, losers are angry or frustrated due to their inability to effectively debate. Trying to hang your hat on the data maybe inaccurate, yet you do not provide accurate data, while ignoring the actual data provided. :)

Just a reminder

In 2013, Congress passed the Pay Our Military Act, which kept military paychecks going during the shutdown and also allowed hundreds of thousands of civilian defense workers to keep going to work and received pay as well. But that law was not permanent, and Congress would have to pass a similar bill this time if they want to pay the same federal employees and contractors during a shutdown.

Now, why aren't McConnell and Ryan asking to renew that 2013 Act???

Further, do right wingers know that over 10% of military families rely on Medicaid and Food Stamps to carry on?

So, why................

They are using the military as human shields to protect their massive deficit spending.

As of October 2017, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrat, 24% identified as Republican, and 42% as Independent.

In a new survey of American military personnel, Donald Trump emerged as active-duty service members' preference to become the next U.S. president, topping Hillary Clinton by more than a 2-to-1 margin.
