The GOP is seeing Libya as another "golden opportunity" to create another democracy along the lines of their "wild" success in Iraq.
The first question is, "Is forcing women into wearing "burkes" the first step in Middle Eastern democracy?" Of course not. Republican policies didn't make a "democratic Iraq", they make a twin to Iran.
How long before Sunni governments in the Middle East begin to take action against the American Right Wing created Shiite government in Iraq?
And now we are watching John McCain and other Republican leaders crying out for us to bomb Libyan airports to create a "no fly zone". Why does Republican foreign policy always revolve around "bombs"? Their single economic policy is "cut taxes" and their single foreign policy is "Bomb, bomb, bomb-----bomb bomb Iran". That's it. Every problem has a single solution.
As the 8 year Iraq/Iran war taught us, for those who paid attention, right wing Islamic leaders will use woman and children as "shields" against the enemy.
Can you imagine a single American bomb hitting civilians and then endless photos of women and children dead with the caption, "Americans kill our children for oil". Can there be any better way of uniting the Middle East against America?
Worse, John McCain ASSUMES the "insurgents" want democracy. They didn't in Iraq. Read the Iraqi constitution - there it is in bold, black and white. How long are our Sunni allies going to let the GOP blunder? Before they cut off all oil in an attempt to just "make us go away"?
