Why do we NEED to kill whales?
It is possible that we are killing creatures more intelligent than ourselves.

We don't need to kill whales and it should be stopped immediately.
We also don't need yayhoos boating around and tangling with whaling vessels.
    I don't like the tactics.

I do not like their tactics either, however they have gotten some results over the years that I like.

They go after poachers who are fishing in forbidden territory or catching forbidden types of whales. I watched a Discovery special on them last year and thought they were awesome.

Sea Shepard does good work and so long as they actively refuse to endanger humans (other than themselves who willingly place themselves in harms way) they have my continued support. They are very aggressive about damaging the means of those who would kill whales but they avoid harming people.

They realise that that is not appropriate and will not do so. That elevates them above eco terrorists who could care less who they harm.
