Defending Our Freedom from the Rich and Powerful

Politically, Americans are distracted. Every day, we are subjected to new lows in political debate, mostly from Republicans accusing Democrats of selling out the country to Socialism. This fear-mongering, however, covers up a truth much more sinister and troubling: America was sold out a long time ago to multi-national corporations.
These companies have become so big and powerful they now control us, the government and the finances of small businesses everywhere. The success of our economy is completely in their hands. With no allegiance to America or any other country, they are in it for themselves, no matter who they harm in the process.
As many Republicans make the charge that the opposite party wants to turn the country red, they fail to address the fact that it was their own free trade agreements and business-friendly deregulation that allowed corporate bosses to get friendly with third-world Communist dictators who sell their people for rates so low that they will never be able to afford more than company dorms and meager food rations. This has become a best-of-both-worlds situation for the big corporations they can make cheap products for very low costs without worrying about those pesky human rights that American workers hold so dear.
Corporate interests have set the future for American and European workers, destroying the progress from hundreds of years of fighting for freedom, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in Western civilization. Although Republicans love to talk about the Founding Fathers, how do you think Thomas Jefferson would view the fact that the people really wield no power at all?
In order to truly be free, we need to have a balance of power between the very rich, the middle class and the poor. What we have essentially become are slaves to those who have worked themselves into positions of power by controlling world trade and deciding on who works where and for what wage. They have thoroughly destroyed our domestic manufacturing sectors. Is this the path we are going to continually follow?
Its not too late to stop this troubling pattern. At the moment, we still have the ability to reclaim the balance of power and negotiate our own wages and standards of living. If we fail, the vast majority of Americans will find themselves working long hours and making little money, kept in line by the corporate authorities who control what small amount they do make. By doing nothing, we are destined to follow in the footsteps of authoritarian states like Mexico, where corruption rules the day.
We need to make things right by starting a revolution, similar to those of the early 20th Century when bosses were forcing long hours, dangerous work environments and low income. Back then, workers united by forming strong unions, something that is still possible now. We can once again become the example for the rest of the world as they struggle to throw off the shackles of powerful corporate interests.
For too long, we have sat idly by as our best interests have been sold to the highest bidder. Our representatives, who are supposed to be public servants, are completely controlled by the corporations who fund their campaign coffers. We are left with no other option but to demand that we reclaim our rightful place and prosperity as Americans.

Workers have been conned into believing labor unions are evil and they can be just like gov. and corportations can be, but we workers now need them to protect workers world wide, progress not poverty!!!!!
