While the conservative/ liberal ( pro economy, nationalistic, civil rights )
currently have a majority to take over the power in Germany
a massive flooding in Southern Germany has led to the death
of several people, and the chancellor Schroeder will try
    to capitalize on it.

In the last election Schroeder got votes by making his peace
at all cost stands against the war in Iraq, and "leading" the fight
against the floods in East Germany.

East Germany still has a leftist slant, bavaria is the most conservative
    region in Germany, strongly catholic.

So you better hope the flood will not help Schroeder to another
victory by making him the leader of the army and other disaster troops
that are going into the region as we speak.

    Politics is such a bitch......
