After the polling stations have peen closed, prognosis show up. This is tradition. It´s also tradition that these prognosis are very precise.

There are some interesting results.
While Merkel´s CDU clearly wins, close to an absolute majority in numbers of seats in the parliament, her coalition partner FDP, the liberal, capitalist party, will not enter the Bundestag, the German parliament, the first time in history due to her result which is below the 5 % needed to enter. The Social Democrats of the SPD are happy with their 25 %, while the Green Party lost half of their voters in the past weeks. The new Anti-Euro Party AfD quivers with emotions, will they enter the Bundestag? The Leftist Party DIE LINKE lost some percents, but is now ranked third in the ranking of the most powerful parties due to the Green´s downswing. The election turnout increased by 1,2 - 2,2 % to a value of 72 - 73 %.

Current Prognosis:
CDU/CSU: 42,5 %
SPD: 25,7 %
Linke: 8,5 %
Grüne: 8,1 %
AfD: 4,9 %
FDP: 4,5 %
