The operation is sure to be both more powerful and aggressive than any of the three previous offensives launched by the IDF (2012, 2014, and 2021) into Gaza, each of which concluded with the IDF having “mowed the lawn” sufficiently to halt Hamas’ military operations for a considerable period of time.

You have to wonder why Hamas like savage beasts.

It will not be easy. Nothing in life that is most noble and necessary ever is, Hamas cannot continue to terrorize a free nation.

I pray for peace and both the protection of the righteous and the innocent.

It will certainly be disastrous for the innocent residents of Gaza.
As far as I know, there are two types of residents of Gaza: Those who actively encourage and participate in the violence against the peace-loving Israelis, and those who raise no objection to it. I don't see one as much more "innocent" that the other.

If you have examples other than those two, please present them. Then explain why Gazans, unlike any other civilian population of any other aggressive state, are to be except from the consequences of their chosen leaders' brutality?

I think dropping a bunch of bunkerbusters and some MOABs on GAZA will do the job.

That explosion in Lebanon could be what's in store for the IDF if they try a ground war.

If those hostages are in that tunnel network, a lot more Israelis will die than the number of hostages they will save.

I feel sorry for the citizens of Gasa, not Hamas.
The citizens of Gaza beat the hostages that were brought back by Hamas. For them, it was a joyess moment. Take a look at the Palestinian civilians that you "feel sorry for".

The world were fools to think that these people would ever give up their fight against Israel. It's getting a little old that these people attack, Israel fights back and keeps them calm for a few years, and then they rearm themselves all over again and attack Israel again. We need a more permanent solution than to just buy peace for a few years. The problem needs to be resolved on a more permanent basis. The two state solution isn't possible, allowing a group of people to have themselves a real country which they can then use as a base to attack Israel, which is what they do now only it would be even worse.

Did you see this?

HAMAS doesn't negotiate, so why would they take hostages in the first place except to lure Israelis to rescue them? If Egypt opens its border to Gaza the terrorists will escape with the others. How can you vet 2 million refugees?

The hostages are being used as a shield....no different from their own civilians.

But Israel is willing to trade hostages for food, water, power/fuel and medical supplies.
Seems like a fair trade to me. Why doesn't Hamas want to do that?

Why has Egypt (in the last month) gone to extraordinary measures to reinforce a fence along the Palestinian/Egyptian border?

And why is Turkey wanting the civilians when nobody else will take them?
