Today I paid $3.99 a gallon, last week $4.59. What's up with that? Price per barrel hasn't changed much, still over $102. So, are the oil companies now favoring Obama?
That's just crazy to have these fluctuations minute by minute! Did we release some of our oil reserves? Did consumers pull back drastically and reduce our consumption, our 'demand'? Are refineries hurting for business? Those are some questions that come to mind....that I don't know the answers to.... I honestly can't imagine the oil companies wanting to support Obama....so that can't be it!
Gas prices are high. I recommend using less, if it is a financial hardship. Fortunately, apparently they have reached their seasonal peak and will now start declining. Fuel Fix » Gasoline prices slip as analysts say peak nears Peak Price....makes more sense than peak oil.
It could well be that the oil companies are very much favoring Obama. They don't want to see America develop our own resources as it cuts into their profits.
It could be that the refineries have refined their capacity blends. Which is what happened. We have a temporary price drop, but apparently only in some areas.
