No, the link proves that oil companies are in the business of selling their product- The global demand drives their doing so- not the domestic demand. It would certainly be a benevolent thing for oil companies to leave their product here- but THAT is not in the presidents "free market" purview- which is what my original post addressed- are you always this obtuse?

Another one who, by her own words, absolves Obama of any blame. Great job, wingnut!

Speculators add about 25- 30% increase to domestic pricing. Regulating their ability to repatriate that investment earning would curb a lot of the high pricing in the market- It was one of the 4 "free market" solutions I put forth. You and your ilk seem only able to yammer "exports and Wall Street". YOU are devoid of solutions.

Explain that to Todd. He doesn't understand. :)

Why don't you explain it to me?
Because I can't draw worth a shit, Cletus.

And the ones he's trying to force on the market won't haul the slabs of stone or travertine products I work with. So I'm supposed to change jobs apparently or shut up about high gas prices. How very American huh?

Fucking liberals.
Don't you wingnuts tell people to change jobs or stfu about what they are getting paid?

More liberal stupidity. Yes you can change jobs at any time to get a different pay scale. Changing jobs a thousand times won't effect gas prices now will it?

Fucking moron

No, but changing to a job that requires less gas/diesel is an option, if saving money on fuel is your top priority.

Nice try Mr. Obfuscation! I named the "free market" ideas (those ideas you demanded) and regulatory purview that government- of whom Mr. Obama is the leader of, actually does have. That indeed shows him to be responsible to act!!!
Did you explain speculation to Todd? He doesn't understand the concept and keeps wanting me to explain it.

I don't have time to spoon-feed the retard.

It won't ever happen but yes, the US government should have retained all rights to US oil and gas on federal lands, and developed a government oil industry, bottom to top, to find, extract, refine, and sell or use that oil.

Constitutionally justified as a national security interest.

If gas was $12/gallon - would your tongue still dart into Obama's anus?

How's it taste up there?

Nutty?
Congrats to me! I won't have to read your retarded posts any longer, Gary Busey.

If gas prices are up there in Nov then Barry will get the blame just as Bush did.

That oughtta help his re-election bid big time.

Because the oil isn't ours to keep. It belongs to the people that paid to have it extracted from the earth and they are free to sell it to whomever they choose.

Are you suggesting a govt take over of the oil industry?

What's the quickest way to build a money losing oil company?
What is allowing George W. Bush to run the company, Alex

....... the US government should have retained all rights to US oil and gas on federal lands, and developed a government oil industry, bottom to top, to find, extract, refine, and sell or use that oil.

Socialism! That will never fly, but, making domestic oil a public utility might make sense.

One of the original goals of Mr Carter's Department of Energy Organization Act was to reduce US dependence upon foreign energy (oil).

Yeah, that worked out so well that 35 years later, Solyndra is now a leading energy producer. <sarcasm intended>
Good thing we can count on the existence of government bureaucracy to make everything better, let's put them in charge of medical insurance and see what happens in 35 years.

And then along came Raygun....and the pseudo-conservative surge:D

Yeah, we need Carter's shortages and higher prices, for the children!

Sorry, didn't see proof for the claim.
Maybe you can cut and paste the proof?
Or explain in your own words?
Sorry - I don't have any links that will explain it to you with only pictures.

Yeah, it's a shame you'll never understand.
No words so the rest of us will?

Wow - that's Stephanie-strength gibberish, right there!

Ask clevergirl to explain speculation to you.

Or you could read Bush-era business articles from Bloomberg, that rabidly Liberal financial site.

Nope. This is a debate site. If you cannot hold up your end of the debate without having someone who you are debating explain to you the subject that you have foolishly tried to debate, then get the fuck out of the thread and let the people who actually have a clue debate the subject.

Show me your side of the debate. I'm not going to read a link and try to imagine what your claim is. Post it here and I'll be happy to debate. Or run away. Again.

Complain, Complain and Complain from ones that do nothing…

Option 1
Farm and water front boat gas is tax free! About $2.46 a gal.
Get a 1/5 load about 600 gals.
Get a mix tank 1500 gals.
The mix goes a followed in order below.
1 part gas
1 part low grade cleaning alcohol about 80 cent a gal plus tax. Pails are 53 cents per gal.
For each 100 gals for mix above add
14 oz Octane Boost any automotive kind, I use the cheapest BTW 5 gal pails.
I average a cost of about 1.89 to 2.15 a gal. and about 1250 gal made?

Option 2
From a group to lessen your costs, and mix away!

Option 3
Complain, Complain and Complain from ones that do nothing…ETC!

Why isn't there pressure from the Right on Republican House members to eliminate oil speculation on Wall Street?

The House can actually do something about gas prices. The President Of The United States has no legislative power, no matter who is President.
NIce try. Obama's watch. He gets the blame

And If Mitt wins the right will still blame obama for all the bad stuff that happens on Mitts watch.

Heck they are still blaming Clowntoon and Carter.
